God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

Faith's collection

My dad got this butterfly for Faith, and gave it to me right after she was born. He said that he thought it was perfect, because butterflies symbolize new life. I thought that was really cool. This butterfly is clipped to one of the cords attached to the warmer above her bed. While I was still pregnant and coming to terms with everything that was going to happen, I decided that Faith was going to collect angels. I spent the whole rest of my pregnancy looking for the perfect angel to be her "first" one, but never found one I really liked. Then, as my mom, dad, and I were leaving University Hospital when I was discharged, to go to Children's and be with Faith, we saw some angels in the gift shop, and found the perfect angel I'd been searching for! Faith's first angel was this beautiful one, holding the butterfly (this is the one I glued my fingers together fixing...). I loved that it brought together the angel and the butterfly, and the tag on it said that it is called the Mother's Angel, which I thought was even more perfect.

Now Faith has a couple more angels that we've found that have been perfect... the taller one in this picture has a butterfly, too (and those are all the cards we've gotten from everyone, the flower my mom got me, and the candle that Webers gave us). And I've decided that she should collect angels AND butterflies. She has one more angel, too, that hangs on her bulletin board... I'll post a picture of that tomorrow, and probably also pictures of the beautiful Christmas decorations set up all over the hospital.

LOL, the irony is in the ornament her cousins picked out for her two weeks ago. Seriously, this gave me goosebumps as my brother had not told me what you had decided about angels:) I love these updates! Kylie (the oldest) cannot wait to hold her!
